Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 6 American cheese slices
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • to taste ketchup
  • to taste mustard
  • to taste pickle slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and form into small patties, slightly larger than your slider buns as they will shrink.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  5. While patties are cooking, slice the slider buns horizontally. Place the bottom halves of the buns on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, place one patty on each bottom bun half.
  7. Cut each American cheese slice in half and place one half on top of each burger patty.
  8. Brush the tops of the slider buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
  9. Place the top buns on top of the cheese-covered patties. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are lightly toasted.
  10. Serve immediately with ketchup, mustard, and pickle slices on the side.
